We are an electronic retailer of jewelry and lifestyle products headquartered in Austin, Texas with a passionate team of approximately 550 people. Our products are sold through TV on 80m homes through our live 24*7 broadcasts, our website, OTT, marketplaces, and social media.
We are the US retailing unit and subsidiary of Vaibhav Global Limited (VGL) which is a well-established vertically integrated company, founded in India about 35 years ago and listed on the Indian stock exchanges. The company has had a turnover of $246 million (in the financial year 2022).
The other retailing units of VGL are in the UK (Shop TJC) and Germany (Shop LC, Germany). Together, all the units ship out approximately 50,000 pieces of products to their customers in the US, UK, and Germany every day. ASSET PROTECTION AGENT - ROLE OVERVIEW
Our team is looking for an Asset Protection Agent who will be responsible for our premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance, and permitting entry. We are looking for someone who is alert, diligent, and process-oriented, and most importantly, someone who has the safety of our employees on the top of their minds at all times! Keeping our building and people safe is vital to our operations and we need someone who is equally as passionate about safety and security as we are.
Work Schedule
Thursdays through Mondays - 05:45 am to 02:15 pm (1st Shift)
Thursdays through Mondays - 01:45 pm to 10:15 pm (2nd Shift)
Fridays through Tuesdays - 01:45 pm to 10:15 pm (2nd Shift)
Job Details:
- Reporting Manager - Asset Protection Manager
- Salary range - $16 per hour - $17 per hour
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check employee badges
- Perform post duties assigned to the post you are managing
- Initiate and perform companywide evacuation and sheltering drills as per assigned post duties
- Wand those leaving secured areas
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property
- Monitor surveillance equipment
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points
- Obtain help by sounding alarms
- Inform violators of policy and procedures
- Monitor public areas for potential issues
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities
- Review inventory, stock and security cameras, and footage to investigate suspected issues
- Document theft and other security violations
- All other duties as assigned by the manager
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to respond well to emergency situations
- Superior observational skills
- Ability to recognize unsafe working environments
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Willingness to attend meeting and trainings to improve skills
- Attention to detail and follow through are essential
- Strong professional and interpersonal skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workplace to another
- Adjusting or moving objects up to 40 pounds in all directions
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Cannot have been discharged from the military dishonorably or under any other conditions that would be viewed as prohibitive
- Cannot be indicted or charged with felonies or Class A or B misdemeanors
- Cannot be registered as a sex offender in any state
- Cannot be mentally incompetent in the view of a court
