Local fire department looking to hire individuals who have passed essentials of firefighting, with a live burn, and also carry an active EMT certification (or higher). Individuals will provide emergency services to the Mckean community as well as possible emergency calls to surrounding municipalities when needed. Requirements include: EMSVO, pass a criminal background check, obtain a child abuse clearance, current hazmat operations (or higher), NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800, and proof of a physical from a doctor within the last 12 months. Individuals will need to be able to perform all of the physical requirements of an EMT, and fireman, while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and compassion to the community that we serve. The starting pay per hour is $17.00 with an increase to $18.00 after 90 days. The possibility of health insurance and a 401K will be re-evaluated after a year. Immediate openings are available for part-time and full-time employment.
