The Industry Vertical data analyst will be tasked with the improving the data quality and reporting of our Customer account data, with a particular focus on industry classification and industry segment analysis and improvement. Specific activities will include:

• Conducting manual, multi-point inspections of individual accounts and groups of accounts classified by a particular industry and industry sub-segment; will involve looking up public companies in various reference tools (e.g., Dun and Bradstreet)
  
• Identifying proposed changes, and communicating the changes to business data stewards for approval and updating in our CRM system of record and corporate data warehouse
  
• Using existing data quality dashboards to determine patterns of mis-categorized accounts and analyze the root cause of these errors
  
• Assisting with the creation of enterprise-wide reports on industry classification and related financial metrics
  
• Offering recommendations for process improvement and automation, particularly as it relates to ongoing future maintenance of cleansed data
  
• Expanding – when necessary – the scope of analysis to include the accuracy of an account’s primary address and its proper parent-child location within PTC’s customer account hierarchy (e.g., Account B is a subsidiary of Account A)

Advanced Excel skills, SQL querying skills, and strong written and verbal communication are a requirement for this role. Knowledge or experience with Salesforce CRM and/or a data visualization tool (e.g., Qlik, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Power BI) are considered a plus.
