API International is a family business that was established in Portland, Oregon in 1979. We are a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of flanges, expansion joints, valves, other pipe fittings, and custom-fabricated parts for the Agriculture, Exhaust, HVAC, and Water Works markets.

The QC Representative plays a critical role for the company by ensuring that products meet API’s quality standards and specifications.
A typical day:

• Interpret drawings (including geometric tolerances).
• Inspect parts with appropriate tools, gauges, etc.
• Record, analyze, and present data in written format.
• Assist Quality Engineer with 1st Article analysis and other quality control functions.
• Calibrate/maintain records for all standard measurement equipment.
• Assist sales department with quality, product, and other engineering related questions or issues.
• Ability to perform and apply basic math functions (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) to practical situations.

The ideal candidate requires the following:

• 2+ years QA related experience in the manufacturing industry, or metal working, HVAC, or Pipe, Valve, and Fitting industry.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Experience using gauges and calipers.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
