Responsibilities:

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center
is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ideal candidate should have a poised and polished appearance and be energetic and friendly
  • Demonstrate the highest level of customer service and follow the guidelines of Service Excellence (Treat everyone as a guest; demonstrate professionalism in your actions; and practice teamwork).
  • CPR Certified (not required, but a plus)
Education/Training:
  • High school graduate, equivalent, or a combination of education and work experience
  • Associates or higher degree a plus.
Experience:
  • One (1) year of experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a health care environment and any combination of education, training or experience in a hospital environment.
Licensure/Certification:
  • CPR
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Follows the facility guest relations program when greeting and assisting all visitors, ensuring all visitors sign the visitor log.
  • Answer and disseminate all incoming calls on the switchboard in a professional and courteous manner within three rings.
  • If assigned, provides clerical support to administration
  • Adheres to facility, department, corporate, personnel and standard policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to facility standards concerning conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality.
  • Maintain confidentiality of facility employees and patient information.
  • Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices.
