Job Description

The Intern, Enterprise Strategy position supports and reports into the Rotary Mission Systems (RMS) Enterprise Strategy group within RMS Strategy and Operations. The Enterprise Strategy team within RMS drives strategic business efforts across the RMS lines of business and in support to Corporate initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Strategy development to support Department of Defense and international programs and customer mission needs; strategy development for long-term business positioning (based on threat environment analysis, customer future needs, etc.)
  • Assist in managing and supporting M&A pipeline of activity, including acquisition target company research, coordinating feedback of inbound teasers from bankers, and helping with divestitures, strategic reviews, other M&A projects
  • Assist in identifying and vetting venture candidates, developing technical insertion opportunities for Lockheed Martin venture portfolio companies and developing strategic context and technical roadmaps for RMS inorganic focus areas
  • Industry and customer research to inform various strategic projects and studies
  • Customer engagement planning and action development
  • Corporate focus and priority program campaigns / captures
Basic Qualifications:
  • In process of obtaining Bachelor’s Degree in one or more of the following subject areas: Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, History, International Relations, or Political Science
  • Proficiency / Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

  • Familiarity with Aerospace and Defense or other related industry
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense programs and processes

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
