The Client List Screening (CLS) Unit performs screening support for Corporate Compliance, and as a Global Financial Crimes Compliance Screening Officer, you will be responsible for regulatory/non regulatory internally directed Enterprise-wide searches of our accountholders, their related parties, and transactions, looking for known or suspected money launderers, terrorists, Politically Exposed Persons, Persons of Interests, Negative Media, or Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs). You, as a Global Financial Crimes Compliance Screening Officer, will also be responsible for evaluating alerts per Company and Government policies. A Global Financial Crimes Compliance Screening Officer will utilize internal Know Your Candidate systems, public information, and Line of Business (LOB) provided information to identify matches or false positive results.

Responsibilities include:
  • Reviewing, investigating, and providing decisions on Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), Sanctions and Negative Media profiles.
  • Clearly documenting rationale for decision, and providing supporting documentation
  • Regularly exercising good judgement and decision making, meeting high-throughput requirements all the while maintaining a rigid quality standard.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
  • Remaining up to date on Sanctions, and Know Your Candidate policy standards and procedures

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years' experience in Client or Transaction screening Operations or Know Your Candidate related experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Candidate Compliance
  • Highly professional self-starter, capable of working under minimum supervision
  • Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership over "quality" and end-to-end best practices
  • Results-oriented team player
  • Adept at multi-tasking and meeting deadlines, and goals, in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Adherence to controls and standards
  • Bachelors or MBA degree preferred
