Under general supervision, assists in the shipping and stocking of products.

Responsibilities

• Stocks shipping flow racks with finished product according to FIFO procedures.
• Prepares orders for shipment, according to sales orders.
• Records shipping documentation.
• Performs special projects as needed.
• Coordinates with Customer Service for exception and emergency orders.
• Communicate with Team Leader inventory shortages and delays.
• Fills in for Manifest Clerk as needed.
• Participates in inventory counting and cycle counts as needed.
• Follows company standards to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory rules & standards including: GMP, Quality and Organic Standards, OSHA, and FDA.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean at all times.
• Performs all related duties as required. Will have training and be compliant in the company’s SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA, OSHA policies and procedures as well as any local/state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate mechanical equipment, including reach truck/stand-up forklift experience.
• Good math skills
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products within the shipping area.
• Must demonstrate flexibility to meet quickly changing production schedules and job assignments, without close supervision.
• Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Computer skills or experience working with purchase/packing orders in a warehouse environment a plus.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Ability to read and speak basic English.
• Good communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Able to work in temperatures from 32 to 100 degrees.
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation
• Ability to stand or walk at least 8 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of position such as standing and walking, bending, and stooping for 6-8 hours daily in addition to the ability to lift up to 80 pounds consistently throughout workday.

Availability Requirements:

• Average shifts are 8 hours long.

• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The wage range for this position is $15.00 - $27.56 Hourly, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers “Whole Benefits".
