Position Overview

Infinity is seeking a Software Engineer to support the newly awarded NISSC II contract. Your career at Infinity enables NISSC to fulfill its mission to “provide classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites.” As a member of our team, you will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.


Primary Responsibilities


The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and evaluates complex engineering computer systems. Performs coding, testing, installing, and maintaining engineering computer programs having features including multiplicity of function, critical constraints, and elaborate input/output. Develops computer program documentation and operational procedures. Prepares project resource estimates, schedules, and cost analyses. Provides diagnostic support to correct processing anomalies in complex computer programs. Assists in the preparation of specifications and other activities that require knowledge of programming principles and techniques. Interprets requirements and performs analyses to ensure that objectives are met. Assists in the training of less experienced personnel.

Typical Duties Include:

  • Lead Agile team(s) in high-level design, integration, and verification of software components for NISSC II Products
  • Support Agile team(s) in the development and implementation of software components for NISSC II Products
  • Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events.
  • Attend and participate in standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of progressive experience
  • Wide breadth of expertise in the ability to train less-experienced developers and software test personnel in the use of development languages, tools, and environments in the design and development of software-centric solutions.
  • Experience with Java, C++, Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEs, JUnit, etc.
  • Highly Desired: Support Agile team(s) in the development and implementation of software components for NISSC II Products.
  • Experience working on DoD Products/Applications Experience with Agile Development methodologies.
  • Desired: Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments

Bachelor's degree and Sec+ or equivalent
