Keystone Engineering is currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Mandeville or Metairie office

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office/Sedentary

Travel Requirements: Occasional site visits may be required.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate multi-discipline engineering and design activities.
  • Communicate with clients and third parties regarding project scope, status, and technical interface issues.
  • Provide concise, accurate project designs, allowing effective construction/installation.
  • Work with other engineers, designers, construction QA/QC, and contractors.
  • Manage discipline budgets when in a lead role.
  • Provide guidance to other engineers.
  • Check drawing and calculations.
  • Visit client sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions as needed.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 10+ years of working experience.
  • 2+ years of lead engineer experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

Experience Preferred:

  • P.E. license is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in hydraulics and/or pipe stress is strongly preferred.
  • Previous plant facilities experience.
  • Previous experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • Familiarity with API 14C.
